THE FEAR OF FROZEN WATER

NEUROSIS:

There's a growing epidemic sweeping the nation. It's causing fear and hysteria with a feeling of uncontrollable emotion, making people shout or not trust the intentions of others.

It's the fear of frozen water. Now I'm not taking about the actual Polar ice caps that are melting, I'M TALKING ABOUT ICE FREAKIN CUBES!

Please explain Daniel ....

Hit up any Starbucks, coffee shop, restaurant, bakery, etc during this season of warmth and you may hear these common responses after a customer orders something.

"Light ice, please"
"Very little ice"
"No ice please"
"Can you take some of that ice out?"
"No ice and can I get a separate cup to go?"
"Can I get five ice cubes with about three inches of oat milk in my latte and make sure it's at about 48 degrees Fahrenheit but still leave room?"

People all over this land fear that every time they buy a beverage, in some way that the establishment is ripping them off by adding lots of ice.

I've observed this first hand by working in a coffee shop here in Los Angeles and seeing people's modifications to how little ice they want.

However, y'all need the freaking ice!

WHY?

Having an iced latte, fountain soda, Tab, Surge, Fruitopia, etc, it all needs some ice to cut it. IT KEEP IT'S COLD!

Listen I get it. Sometimes you get too much ice and three sips later, ALL GONE!

A common sighting of this are mostly at lame bro bars/lounges where people drink vodka sodas that are served in 10oz collins glasses.

This is a three gulp crusha for sure!

The reality is if you are a customer and you don't like what was served to you, simply send it back and they'll remake it. Unless you are at some stupid bar ordering a well drink, chances are no one is trying to rob you of what you payed for.

So please, calm down, breathe, and enjoy your iced beverage!
