Liam Gallagher: a unique lead singer.

Being a lead vocalist in a band is HARD! You become the focal point, the center of attention, the brand! Mick Jagger, Bono, Anthony Kiedis, Axl Rose, David Lee Roth, Stevie Nicks, Debbie Harry, etc. They've all mastered the craft and that craft is being able to keep yourself busy on stage while the band is performing!

You see a lead actor in a Broadway play can jump in and out of scenes, a star basketball player can get a substitute and take a break when they are tired. Yet a singer in a band has to stay up on stage and stay engaged! They have to jump, dance, go into the audience and give hugs and high fives. 

Which brings me to UK's sweetheart Liam Gallagher of Oasis, one of the most boldest and bluntly doesn’t give a f**k lead singers. We’ve all heard of Oasis, ya know the song “Wonderwall” that you are bound to hear at any frat bar in Manhattan. The band has a freakin arsenal of hits and can actually be called a rock band. The whole group really narrows down to Liam and his brother Noel, who have one of the most craziest relationships in modern rock music.

   

   

It’s pretty simple, Liam is a great singer, but the core of the songwriting and sound comes from Noel which is so obvious in their live performance.

(LIAM) Looks like Noel is doing his solo, so I'll play with me tambourine for now.

Liam has a short attention span and is basically waiting for the moment he gets to sing. When he’s not singing, like a child he needs something to entertain himself with so he grabs a tambourine to keep busy until the next verse. If that’s not avail, he’s literally staring into space or even sitting by the drums waiting for Liam to finish his solo.  

Yes, that is Liam sitting like he's in timeout and Noel looks puzzled by it.

Which prompted David Letterman to literally ask if they were in a fight after the song was over.

Since him and Noel are still at odds with each other, Liam has opted to go on tour by himself with a band playing semi-altered versions of Oasis tunes to make that dollah hollah! Have a problem with that? He would simply to tell you to f**k off and listen to the rock 'n’ roll!
